We co-organized with the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers-Fire Division to held a series of CPD training courses for building professionals & engineers in practical applications of the codes of practices for means of escape (MOE), means of access (MOA), fire resisting construction (FRC) and also fire services ordinance in preparing submission to the Authoristies. The content of the courses cover the areas of the fire engineering related codes fo practices and regulactions of which the theories, principles, applications, common mistakes and case studies have been presented to enhance the understanding and applications of the prescriptive requirements.
Honourable professional speakers, Dr Hechao HUANG, Mr Wayne SO, Mr. Ho-ming CHONG, Mr. Albert TANG , Dr Siu-ming LO, Ir Gabriel YU, Dr Young WONG and Ir Benny LAI have been invited to deliver the lecture. The courses are very successful and over 600 participants have enrolled.

Programme Highlight
Applications of codes of practices for means of escape (MoE), means of access (MoA) and fire resisting construction (FRC) in practical building designs may encounter different difficulties. Practitioners may also problems in preparing submission to Government Authorities. The problems may be caused by the misunderstanding of the principles, misinterpretation of the prescriptive requirements or overlooking of some major practical elements of the codes and regulations. A series of training courses related to fire safety engineering and protection is offered to building professionals and engineers. The courses target to give a better understanding of the relevant prescriptive requirements to the building professionals (especially for young engineers and architects) in order to smooth the relevant building design processes and submissions to authorities. The content of these courses cover the areas of the fire engineering related codes of practices and regulations of which the theories, principles, applications, common mistakes will be presented in the training courses. Case studies will also be provided to give examples on the applications of the prescriptive requirements.
