Mr. Michael Green appointed Honorary Life President

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Michael Green to the position of Honorary Life President of the Association.

Michael John Green, born in Shanghai, is the Chairman of the Arnhold Group and is a Director of GEMS, Simon Murray’s main operating business.

He is the Chairman of The Incorporated Trustees of the Jewish Community of Hong Kong, a post to which he was appointed on the passing of Lord Lawrence Kadoorie, and is active in various other Charitable Activities. He has four children, three of whom live and work in Hong Kong, two in Arnhold. He obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from McGill University in Canada in 1962 and is a member of various Engineering Institutions and Associations.

Mr Green was the founding Chairman of the Association and has well established a platform for communication amongst Government Authorities and the industry. The Association would take this opportunity to thank him for his many contributions to the industry in the past.
In this honorary new role, Mr. Green shall continue providing advices to the Association for the development of the Association and improvement on fire safety standards.
