Two years ago, Masayoshi Tokura-san of Ibaraki-Ken Fire Protection System & Maintenance Association introduced a Label of Self-Inspection for Fire Prevention System to our Association and Hong Kong Fire Service Department. It is believed that this Labeling System shall help the fire service industry to improve service quality and provide excellent fire safety compliance for the community.
On 1 Dec 2010, through the introduction of Tokura-san, our Chairman Mr. Peter Lam visited the office of Fire Equipment & Safety Center of Japan (FESC) to exchange views regarding the fire protection industry of Japan and Hong Kong.
FESC is a national establishment in Japan to deal with fire safety concerned matters. It is at national level to bridge between the fire safety industry and Fire and Disaster Management Agency (similar to HKFSD in Hong Kong).
FESC is located in the center of Tokyo in its own 9 storey building in Akasaka.

- Before FESC visit, Tokura-san suggested our Chairman to pray for the success of the meeting in Akasaka temple as Japanese traditional culture. “It was an exceptional experience” according to Chairman Lam.

I believe, and you may also agree that, the cooperation between fire safety experts shall definitely help us to do our jobs better to protect our community safely. The connection of two Associations and the link between Japan and Hong Kong shall make an important step for this cooperation.
